Mixed Cellulose Ester (MCE) membranes are inherently hydrophilic, compounded from cellulose acetate (CA) and cellulose nitrate (CN). With a high cellulose nitrate content, MCE membranes deliver performance comparable to pure CN membranes for identical testing workflows.
