Ceramic Homogenization Beads

1) Basic Information
| Product | Ceramic Homogenization Beads |
| Sorbent Phase | Ceramic |
| Application | sample preparation in analytical, environmental, food, and pharmaceutical laboratories. |
2) Product Overview
Ceramic homogenization beads are sintered from high-purity dense zirconia ceramic, dedicated grinding consumables for bead-beating homogenizers. The material features compact non-porous structure and strong chemical inertness without heavy metal leaching. It can rapidly disrupt animal & plant tissues, seeds, fungal spores, soil, food and other matrices to fully release target analytes including nucleic acids, proteins, pesticides and toxins.
Compared with glass beads, they deliver stronger crushing power and no powder shedding; unlike stainless steel beads, they cause no metal ion interference, making them ideal for high-precision experiments such as mass spectrometry, trace residue testing and microbial sequencing. Pre-filled tubes in three sizes (2 mL, 15 mL, 50 mL) are available to fit high-throughput pretreatment with different sample weights.
3) Key Features
- Low blank background & no interference: Made of high-purity zirconia without heavy metal elution, meeting strict requirements of trace analysis and mass spectrometry.
- High homogenization efficiency: High density and hardness enable fast lysis of both soft and hard samples.
Resistant to solvents, acids and alkalis: No reaction with extraction solutions or buffers to guarantee stable recovery of target compounds. - Autoclavable: Tolerates 121 °C high-temperature sterilization; reusable after cleaning to cut lab costs.
- No debris shedding: Integral dense sintering prevents fine particles during shaking, avoiding filter clogging and sample contamination.
- Three standard pre-filled formats: Cover micro samples (2 mL), medium-volume samples (15 mL) and large-volume solid matrices (50 mL), compatible with all mainstream homogenizers.
4) Applications
- Molecular Biology & Microbial Testing
Lysis of bacteria, fungi, soil and fecal samples for DNA/RNA extraction, microbial community sequencing and pathogen screening. - Food Safety Analysis
Homogenization of fruits, vegetables, grains, meat and seafood for pretreatment of pesticide residues, veterinary drug residues and mycotoxins. - Agricultural Research
Grinding plant roots, stems, leaves and seeds for metabolomics, plant hormone and nutrient component analysis. - Environmental Monitoring
Disruption of soil, sediment and solid waste for detection of heavy metals and organic pollutants. - Clinical & Forensic Testing
Lysis of biological tissues and trace evidence for nucleic acid extraction and biomarker detection.
